Running at roughly one-third the speed of modern equipment, the Ishikawadai process places minimal stress on the cotton fibers, resulting in a naturally uneven texture and a soft yet substantial hand feel. The deep indigo develops rich, characterful fading over time. This model combines design elements of the Type II jacket introduced by Levi's in 1880 with the practical character of a coverall-style jacket.
