Running at approximately one-third the speed of modern machinery, the Ishikawadai process minimizes stress on the cotton fibers, preserving their natural texture and irregularity. The result is a fabric with a rich hand feel, subtle slub character, and deep indigo tone that develops expressive fading over time.
