Pherrow's 26S-PMEP1 Herringbone Monkey Pants Camo

These military easy pants are an updated version of the so-called “monkey pants,” which were briefly used by the USMC in 1944, now redesigned with an elastic waistband for added comfort. These loose-fitting, high-rise trousers are made from cotton herringbone twill (HBT). They are distinguished from the earlier P-41 model by the addition of large cargo pockets on both the back and sides. The side pockets were designed to be large enough to hold K-ration boxes used for military food supplies, while the signature back pocket - one of the most recognizable features of these pants - was intended to carry a camouflage poncho.

The HBT (herringbone twill) fabric develops a unique appearance and texture over time with wear.
