Studio D'Artisan SD-DO1 "The Origin" Regular Straight Selvedge Jeans One Wash Indigo

The “DO1” is known as Studio D’Artisan’s Genesis model — the pair that took the vintage denim scene by storm in the 1980s. Returning to their origins, SDA has meticulously studied archived examples to recreate the distinctive, uneven texture of the original fabric, woven with rough No. 6 yarn.

Taking craftsmanship even further, the yarns are dyed 20 times using the traditional Kasezome (skein-dyeing) method, carried out by veteran shokunin (craftsmen) in Tokushima. Cut in a regular straight fit, the “Origin” jeans feature a selvedge cinch-back fastener — a respectful nod to the timeless details of vintage selvedge denim from a bygone era.
